Cory Lang 5th in New Zealand U-21 Champs at Oreti Park
There were sixteen starters, but only fourteen remained after practice. It had been raining and the track was very messy, and riders had to wait for the rain to stop and the track to be
re-laid, which turned out very, very drivey, causing some problems for all. A new tyre was discarded and an old worn tyre fitted, pumped up lots, the rear wheel was moved back as far as
possible and it worked.
The fourteen riders ran in a series of heats; with the top six points scorers going into the finals, Only two South Islanders mad the Finals with Cory qualifying 6th. The finals were run over4 over 3 heats and Cory finished 5th overall, a great effort in a very fast field of riders. 2nd - Jamie Moohan 3rd - Sean Mason 4th - Dylan Hancock 5th - Cory Lang 6th - Chopper Bagshaw
